I’d like to remind you, illnesses and sickness are a legitimate reason not to fast during Ramadan. If you have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, BPD, or any other mental illness, your reason not to fast is just as legitimate as it is for a cold, a disease, and even cancer. If you feel fasting may worsen your condition, or put you or another in harms way, you are not in the wrong by postponing your fast.
Remember, fasting should never put your health, well-being, or life at risk.
